Puppy Training (8 weeks to 4 months)
With Both Ends of the Leash, you will learn everything you need to start your puppy on the path to being a healthy, happy, good K9 citizen. The old adage is that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. While that is not true, teaching a young dog before developing bad habits is certainly easier. Puppy training should begin the day you bring your new family member home. It is easier to begin training on day 1 if you have prepared ahead of time. If you have arranged for puppy training with Both Ends of the Leash before your puppy comes home, we will evaluate your home, give you suggestions for puppy-proofing your home, and teach you what to do on day 1. If you didn’t start day 1 don’t worry we will catch you up.
With puppy training from Both Ends of the Leash, you will receive our House Training Your Puppy Guide that includes our 5 rules for house training a puppy. In addition, you will learn everything you need to have a successful start:
- Potty training.
- Crate training.
- How to communicate with your dog.
- What you want them to do.
- What you don’t want them to do.
- How to teach new behaviors quickly and easily.
- How to stop unwanted behaviors.
- What to do about your puppy using you as a chew toy.
- Introduction to existing dog(s) in home. [May require separate class for existing dog(s)]
- Games and activities to build a confident dog.
Pricing and Services.
- Puppy Training is $200.00
- Typically, is 4 weeks long with
- First session is one hour.
- Then two ½ hour sessions per week.
- Between session support if you have any questions or problems.
- Includes the entire family.
- After each session you will receive an email with instructor's notes and homework.
- First 30 miles from Marshall (round trip) are free, $0.65 per additional mile.
